Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension enrollment forms, ensuring accuracy of employee contribution data and beneficiary information
- Assist in calculating retirement benefits using state pension formulas and actuarial guidelines
- Respond to beneficiary inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings with clear, empathetic communication
- Maintain detailed records in pension management software, ensuring compliance with audit requirements
- Collaborate with HR departments to coordinate retirement transitions and documentation
- Prepare routine reports on pension plan activity for senior financial analysts
- Stay updated on federal/state pension regulations and communicate policy changes to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Basic knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA regulations, or pension administration principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
