Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension enrollment applications for state and local government employees
- Assist in calculating retirement benefits using specialized actuarial software
- Respond to participant inquiries regarding pension policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate pension records and documentation in compliance with federal regulations
- Collaborate with HR departments across state agencies on pension-related matters
- Prepare reports on pension plan activity for regulatory filings
- Participate in quarterly pension system audits and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex pension regulations and policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Basic knowledge of ERISA and Ohio Revised Code pension provisions
