Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension eligibility documents for federal employees and retirees
- Calculate retirement benefits using federal guidelines and specialized software
- Respond to pension inquiries via phone, email, and in-person consultations
- Maintain accurate pension records in federal databases (e.g., FERS, TSP)
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve complex pension discrepancies
- Conduct periodic audits of pension plan documentation for compliance
- Train beneficiaries on retirement planning tools and survivor benefits
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred)
- US citizenship required for federal employment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail with numerical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
