Responsibilities
- Conduct legislative research and draft policy memos for cabinet-level review
- Analyze quantitative/qualitative data to inform evidence-based recommendations
- Coordinate community outreach sessions and public feedback collection
- Support interagency task force meetings and policy implementation tracking
- Prepare briefing materials for senior officials and legislative committees
- Monitor federal and state policy developments affecting DC residents
- Maintain accurate policy databases and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 1-2 years of policy research or administrative experience (internships accepted)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical writing and data interpretation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and DC residency required within 90 days
- Pass background investigation and security clearance
