Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on current legislative trends, regulatory changes, and public policy issues affecting the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Analyze complex datasets to produce actionable insights and support decision-making for senior leadership.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing official policy briefs, memos, and stakeholder presentations.
- Coordinate internal and external communications, scheduling high-level meetings, and maintaining detailed calendars.
- Maintain accurate government records and ensure strict compliance with federal documentation standards and confidentiality protocols.
- Support special projects and task forces by compiling reports and tracking project milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a federal environment).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions and PowerPoint presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive government information.
