Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental inspections and regulatory compliance audits
- Develop and maintain pollution prevention programs for county facilities
- Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports to state agencies
- Coordinate hazardous waste management and disposal protocols
- Train county staff on environmental regulations and best practices
- Investigate environmental complaints and implement corrective actions
- Stay current with EPA, FDEP, and local environmental regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of regulatory compliance experience
- Valid Florida Department of Environmental Protection certification
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid Florida driver's license
