Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental compliance programs for county facilities and operations
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure regulatory adherence
- Lead community outreach initiatives on sustainability practices and environmental education
- Analyze environmental data to inform policy recommendations and strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on waste reduction, recycling, and resource conservation projects
- Prepare detailed technical reports and maintain compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive environmental compliance experience
- Texas Environmental Professional certification (TEP) preferred
- Strong knowledge of EPA, TCEQ, and local environmental regulations
- Proven experience managing environmental projects and budgets
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
