Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal environmental regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act) across industrial facilities
- Conduct on-site inspections, compliance audits, and pollution prevention assessments
- Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports for regulatory decision-making
- Develop and implement environmental management programs for federal facilities
- Coordinate with state/local agencies on Superfund site remediation projects
- Provide technical guidance to industry stakeholders on regulatory compliance
- Represent the EPA in public outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in environmental compliance or regulatory enforcement
- Deep knowledge of EPA regulations and NEPA compliance procedures
- Proficiency in GIS software and environmental data analysis tools
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with technical report writing experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25% of time
- U.S. citizenship required for federal position
