Key Responsibilities
As a Federal Administrative Specialist, your day-to-day activities will include:
- Office Management: Oversee the daily operations of the office, including managing inventory, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring a professional work environment.
- Correspondence: Draft, proofread, and edit official government correspondence, memos, and reports with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
- Scheduling: Manage complex calendars for program managers, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and facilitating conference calls with federal stakeholders.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and physical records in compliance with federal retention schedules and privacy laws (e.g., NARA).
- Travel Coordination: Arrange domestic and international travel for personnel, including flight bookings, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation.
- Procurement Support: Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and requisitions, tracking expenditures against budgets.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in federal administration is highly valued.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience, preferably within the federal government or a government contracting firm.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with case management or document management software.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) or DFARS is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with senior officials and the public.
- Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of administrative experience in a federal or government setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Compliance: Knowledge of federal regulations (FAR/DFARS) and record retention laws.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation.
