Responsibilities
- Analyze agricultural data and develop pest management strategies for California crops
- Conduct field inspections to enforce federal agricultural regulations and standards
- Collaborate with local farmers on sustainable farming practices and crop optimization
- Prepare detailed technical reports and compliance documentation for federal review
- Train agricultural stakeholders on federal safety protocols and regulatory updates
- Coordinate with state agencies on agricultural disaster response programs
- Manage research projects related to crop resilience and water conservation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in agricultural compliance or pest management
- Valid California Pesticide Applicator License (QAL or QAC)
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and agricultural data analysis software
- Knowledge of federal agricultural regulations (FIFRA, FMIA)
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license with clean record
