Responsibilities

- Conduct eligibility assessments for federal healthcare programs
- Provide expert guidance to veterans on benefit entitlements
- Collaborate with medical and legal teams for complex cases
- Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations (VA Handbook 5007)
- Generate monthly reports on benefit utilization trends
- Train new staff on benefits administration protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 3+ years experience in benefits administration
- Federal HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
- Proficiency in VA benefits systems (VBMS and VBENEFITS)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Knowledge of Illinois and Ohio veterans' resources
- Valid U.S. driver's license
