Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension and retirement plans for veterans and eligible dependents
- Process complex benefit claims with 99% accuracy and strict compliance
- Conduct eligibility assessments for VA healthcare, education, and disability benefits
- Provide expert guidance on federal regulations and policy updates
- Collaborate with legal teams on appeals and complex case resolutions
- Train staff on new benefit programs and procedural changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of federal benefits administration experience
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expert knowledge of federal pension laws (CSRS, FERS, TSP)
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written communication skills for policy documentation
