Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned border sectors to detect, prevent, and deter illegal border crossings
- Conduct immigration inspections and enforce federal immigration laws
- Collect and analyze intelligence on smuggling activities and threats
- Operate surveillance technology and specialized enforcement equipment
- Respond to emergency situations and provide humanitarian assistance

Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles
- Minimum 1 year specialized experience in law enforcement/military
- Pass rigorous background investigation and polygraph examination
- Successfully complete 16-week Border Patrol Academy training
- Physical fitness certification (push-ups, sit-ups, run, swim)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish (highly preferred)
