Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during night hours
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document daily incidents and maintain accurate logs
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless operations
- Screen visitors and incoming packages per protocol
- Participate in mandatory training and drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Physical fitness for long periods of standing/walking
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- TDCJ certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
