- Communicate claim decisions clearly to claimants and legal representatives
- Maintain detailed case documentation in federal systems (eBENEFITS)
- Collaborate with medical consultants and field office staff
- Stay current on SSA policy changes and precedent decisions
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and federal background clearance
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years relevant claims processing experience
- Proficient in interpreting complex federal regulations
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience with case management systems (e.g., MAXIS)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
