Responsibilities
- Review and process veterans' disability compensation claims with 99% accuracy
- Analyze medical records and supporting documentation to determine eligibility
- Communicate directly with veterans, their families, and medical providers via secure federal systems
- Maintain strict compliance with VA regulations and federal privacy laws (HIPAA, FERPA)
- Utilize VA-specific software for claims adjudication and case management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including medical professionals and legal advisors
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure claims meet federal standards before approval
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in claims processing, veterans services, or healthcare administration
- Proficiency with federal databases (e.g., VBMS, VBA) and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- VA-specific training certification within 90 days of hire
