Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations and VA policies across all operational departments
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and risk assessments
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for identified deficiencies
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies
- Train staff on federal compliance standards and best practices
- Monitor industry regulatory changes and update protocols accordingly
- Coordinate with external auditors during compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of compliance experience in federal/state government
- Knowledge of federal regulations (FAR, DFARS, VA directives)
- Certified Federal Compliance Officer (CFCO) or equivalent preferred
- Proficient in compliance management software (e.g., FedTrack, LogicGate)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
