Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit healthcare operations for VA compliance with federal regulations (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA)
- Investigate and resolve compliance violations through corrective action plans
- Develop and implement training programs for staff on regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure policy alignment with federal guidelines
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and regulatory bodies
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend process improvements
- Manage compliance documentation and audit trails
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of compliance experience in federal or regulated healthcare
- Active VA or federal security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, CMS Conditions of Participation, and VA directives
- Strong analytical skills with experience in audit methodologies
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP-HC, CHC) preferred
