Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal regulatory compliance across North Carolina state agencies
- Conduct comprehensive audits of state programs for adherence to DOJ guidelines
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for compliance violations
- Collaborate with state officials to align policies with federal standards
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for DOJ leadership and congressional committees
- Train state employees on federal regulatory requirements and best practices
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing emerging compliance challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in federal/state compliance or regulatory affairs
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Expert knowledge of federal regulations (CFR, Title 5, etc.)
- Proficient in compliance management software (e.g., LogicGate, Compliance.ai)
- Exceptional analytical and report-writing skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex government procurement processes
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder compliance initiatives
