Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal healthcare regulations (VA, HIPAA, CMS)
- Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments across facilities
- Develop/implement corrective action plans for regulatory deficiencies
- Collaborate with legal teams on policy interpretation and updates
- Train staff on compliance protocols and regulatory changes
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership
- Monitor emerging regulations and recommend proactive measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Healthcare, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of federal compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of VA healthcare regulations and CMS guidelines
- Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer (CHCO) preferred
- Proficient in compliance management software (e.g., MetricStream, Navex)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
