Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA policies)
- Conduct compliance audits across 15+ medical facilities
- Develop corrective action plans for policy violations
- Train staff on regulatory updates and best practices
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for OIG review
- Collaborate with legal counsel on compliance strategies
- Monitor industry trends and propose policy enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Admin, or related field
- 3+ years of federal compliance experience
- Active VA security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Expert knowledge of CFR Title 38 regulations
- Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer (CHCO) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in VA systems (VISTA, CPRS)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
