Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement federal regulatory changes affecting Georgia state operations
- Coordinate compliance audits with federal agencies (DOJ, EPA, HHS)
- Develop policy briefs for state legislators on federal mandates
- Lead cross-departmental compliance task forces
- Manage grant reporting requirements for federal funding programs
- Train staff on updated compliance protocols
- Prepare regulatory impact assessments for state projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 5+ years federal compliance experience in government sector
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Expert knowledge of CFR and state-federal jurisdictional frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in GSA procurement systems
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Experience with FEMA and HUD grant compliance
