Responsibilities
- Monitor and audit healthcare program compliance with federal regulations (VA Handbook 1200.01)
- Investigate and resolve veteran benefit eligibility discrepancies
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for regional oversight
- Collaborate with legal teams on regulatory policy updates
- Train staff on new federal compliance protocols
- Conduct on-site facility inspections against federal standards
- Manage documentation of compliance activities for audit trails
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare compliance or federal regulations
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field
- Proficiency with VA-specific compliance software (e.g., VISTA system)
- Knowledge of 38 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) Part 17
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance
