Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal compliance across VA healthcare facilities in North Florida
- Conduct rigorous audits of medical documentation and billing systems
- Develop corrective action plans for non-compliance issues
- Collaborate with legal teams to interpret and implement new regulations
- Train staff on HIPAA, CMS, and VA-specific compliance protocols
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for federal oversight agencies
- Lead cross-functional compliance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal compliance experience
- Active VA certification in healthcare compliance (preferred)
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR, and VA Directive 1010
- Strong analytical skills with regulatory interpretation experience
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
- Valid U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
