Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, VA directives)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across clinical and administrative departments
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for compliance deficiencies
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and clinical teams on compliance initiatives
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and federal oversight bodies
- Train staff on regulatory requirements and policy updates
- Stay current on evolving federal healthcare legislation and guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in federal compliance or healthcare regulation
- Knowledge of VA, CMS, and OSHA regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex federal statutes and policies
- Proficiency in compliance management software (e.g., Compliance Helper)
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
