Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations (VA directives, 38 CFR) in daily operations
- Process and verify veteran benefits claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct compliance audits across departmental workflows
- Coordinate with federal agencies (SSA, DOD) for seamless veteran services
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation systems
- Train staff on federal policy updates and procedural changes
- Report compliance risks to senior leadership within 24 hours
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory for federal employment)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal/state compliance roles
- Active VA certification or equivalent federal credentials
- Proficiency with VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Knowledge of 38 CFR and Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act
