Responsibilities
- Manage federal procurement processes for DOD contracts valued up to $5M
- Coordinate with government agencies to ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations
- Develop and negotiate contract terms with vendors across Texas
- Monitor contract performance and deliverables against SLAs
- Prepare monthly status reports for congressional stakeholders
- Train junior staff on federal procurement best practices
- Support emergency response contract deployments when required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years federal contracting experience with DOD or DHS
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain immediately)
- CPCM or CFCM certification preferred
- Proficiency in FPDS-NG and SAM.gov systems
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field
- Strong negotiation skills with 5+ years proven track record
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends for mission-critical deadlines
