Responsibilities
- Monitor facility security and conduct regular rounds during overnight shifts
- Supervise inmate activities, enforce regulations, and prevent disturbances
- Respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and security breaches
- Document incidents, maintain accurate logs, and prepare reports
- Conduct searches for contraband and enforce safety protocols
- Collaborate with day-shift officers for seamless operations
- Participate in specialized training programs for tactical response
Qualifications
- US Citizenship and valid driver's license required
- Minimum of 1 year security/law enforcement experience preferred
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and polygraph examination
- Physical fitness to meet federal correctional officer standards
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
- Successfully complete Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) curriculum
