Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate activities during night shift hours to ensure facility security
- Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and headcounts to maintain order and prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with appropriate protocols
- Enforce federal regulations and facility policies through consistent and fair application
- Maintain detailed incident reports, logs, and documentation for compliance review
- Coordinate with day shift staff during transition periods for seamless operations
- Support rehabilitation programs through structured inmate interaction and monitoring
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license required
- Minimum age 21 with high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass rigorous background check, polygraph, and medical examination
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Physical fitness to meet demanding shift requirements and emergency response
