Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce federal correctional facility regulations
- Conduct regular security inspections and headcounts during night hours
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with tactical precision
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports for federal compliance
- Operate advanced surveillance systems and control room equipment
- Collaborate with federal agents and medical staff during critical situations
- Implement emergency response protocols including lockdown procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Pass rigorous background investigation and polygraph examination
- Successfully complete federal correctional officer training academy
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Physical fitness to pass annual fitness assessments
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- No felony convictions and clean drug history
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
