Responsibilities
- Maintain institutional security through regular perimeter checks and inmate supervision
- Conduct searches to prevent contraband introduction and enforce facility regulations
- Monitor inmate behavior and implement corrective action protocols
- Respond to emergencies including medical incidents and security breaches
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with mental health staff for inmate rehabilitation programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license required
- Minimum 3 years of law enforcement or military experience
- Successful completion of background investigation and polygraph
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Physical fitness certification (passing PEB test)
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
