Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules to ensure institutional security
- Conduct regular perimeter and interior security checks
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using approved protocols
- Document all incidents and maintain accurate records
- Provide transportation for inmates within and outside the facility
- Participate in training programs to maintain certification
- Collaborate with federal law enforcement agencies when necessary
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid driver's license
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
- Physical fitness to meet job demands (e.g., prolonged standing, lifting)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No felony convictions
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
