Responsibilities
- Supervise inmate populations and enforce institutional rules 24/7 on weekends
- Conduct security rounds, headcounts, and perimeter inspections
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and security breaches with tactical precision
- Document incidents and maintain detailed compliance records
- Operate security systems including surveillance, alarms, and access controls
- Escort inmates within facility and during transport operations
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and rehabilitation staff
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years old with high school diploma/GED
- Pass rigorous background investigation and polygraph examination
- Successfully complete BOP training academy (6 months)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Physical fitness requirements (lifting 50 lbs, running 300m)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Preferred: prior military or law enforcement experience
