Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules to maintain security
- Conduct regular searches of facilities and persons to prevent contraband
- Escort inmates within the institution and to court appearances
- Respond to emergencies including disturbances, medical incidents, and fire alarms
- Prepare detailed reports on inmate behavior, incidents, and facility operations
- Provide guidance and rehabilitation support to inmates
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and control panels
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum age of 21 years
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Pass medical examination, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
