Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Conduct security inspections and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Document incidents and maintain accurate reports
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
- Provide transportation for inmates and court appearances
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Pass background check and medical examination
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Physical fitness for standing/walking long periods
- Ability to obtain Federal Correctional Officer certification
