Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules with vigilance
- Conduct regular security inspections and perimeter checks
- Respond to emergencies and maintain order during weekend operations
- Document incidents and maintain accurate security records
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
- Provide emergency response and first aid when required
- Collaborate with weekend shift teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph
- Ability to work rotating weekend schedules (Sat/Sun)
- Physical fitness to meet correctional officer standards
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- No felony convictions and clean drug history
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to obtain Federal Law Enforcement Training certification
