Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities to ensure facility security and compliance with regulations
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to detect safety hazards or prohibited items
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with appropriate protocols
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of inmate behavior
- Escort inmates within the facility and to court appearances or medical appointments
- Enforce facility rules and provide guidance to inmates on rehabilitation programs
- Collaborate with team members to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum age of 21 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug test, and physical fitness assessment
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Basic computer skills for report documentation
- Previous law enforcement or correctional experience preferred
