Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional security protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance using advanced monitoring systems
- Respond to emergency situations with tactical precision and de-escalation techniques
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate compliance records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during weekend joint operations
- Implement federal correctional policies and conduct inmate searches
- Train on specialized equipment including biometric scanners and communication systems
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years security/law enforcement or military experience
- Completion of Federal Correctional Officer Training Program certification
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays without exception
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software
