Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber-attack scenarios
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence and coordinate security measures
- Prepare detailed security reports and executive briefings for leadership
- Maintain compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity standards
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous security improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
- Minimum 5 years experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Professional certification (CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection methodologies
- Strong knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 compliance requirements
