Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on threat intelligence sharing
- Prepare comprehensive security reports for senior leadership and congressional briefings
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in cybersecurity with federal/government exposure
- CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification required
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and risk assessment
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security protocols
