Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats across federal networks using advanced SIEM tools
- Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Provide real-time threat intelligence and emergency response coordination during cyber incidents
- Document security procedures and prepare comprehensive incident reports for leadership review
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats and emerging defense technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years in cybersecurity incident response or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification required
- Experience with federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CMMC)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure during critical incidents
