Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols across classified and unclassified systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on government networks
- Monitor security systems 24/7 using SIEM tools to detect and respond to threats
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity drills
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards
- Collaborate with federal agencies to share threat intelligence
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal or enterprise cybersecurity
- Active Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
- Experience with incident response (CSIRT) and threat hunting
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and cloud security
