Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal security protocols and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of internal and external networks.
- Analyze security incidents and respond to cyber threats in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure network architectures.
- Manage the configuration and monitoring of security tools, including SIEM and firewalls.
- Prepare detailed reports on security posture and incident analysis for senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity within a federal or government environment.
- Proficiency with federal security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53) and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and encryption standards.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
