Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents using advanced SIEM tools
- Implement and maintain NIST-compliant security controls for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified networks
- Develop incident response plans and disaster recovery protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce zero-trust architecture principles
- Train federal employees on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, CMMC, and other federal regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity roles
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency with Splunk, CrowdStrike, or similar security platforms
- Knowledge of CMMC Level 3 standards and NIST frameworks
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network defense
