Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within federal networks.
- Implement and manage security protocols in accordance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to respond to security incidents and restore service availability.
- Prepare and present technical reports to leadership regarding system security posture.
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA).
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance is required (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and security frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
