Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal information systems
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies compliant with NIST/FISMA standards
- Monitor security incidents using SIEM tools and initiate incident response protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system hardening and compliance
- Provide cybersecurity training to federal employees and contractors
- Generate detailed security reports and recommendations for leadership
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems preferred
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Familiarity with NIST RMF and FedRAMP frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
