Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network security threats using advanced SIEM tools
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity protocols (NIST, FISMA)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing systems
- Develop incident response plans and lead crisis management teams
- Collaborate with federal partners on intelligence-driven threat mitigation
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for congressional oversight
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
