Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for federal agency hardware and software systems.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), ensuring optimal performance.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux) and peripheral devices.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions that meet federal compliance standards.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the IT Service Management (ITSM) database.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience in a federal contracting environment).
- Active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one (Secret clearance preferred).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime during peak periods.
