Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support homeland security operations
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Ensure data integrity across multiple federal databases and implement rigorous quality control protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with federal data security regulations (FISMA, HIPAA) and privacy standards
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of data workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal government datasets
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact analytical results in deadline-driven environments
- Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences
