The Role:
As a Federal Data Analyst, you will serve as the bridge between raw data and strategic decision-making. You will manage large-scale databases, perform statistical analysis, and create visualizations that stakeholders rely on daily.
Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Processing: Collect, clean, and validate massive datasets from various government sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Statistical Analysis: Utilize advanced statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within federal data.
- Reporting & Visualization: Develop dynamic dashboards and comprehensive reports using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate findings to senior leadership.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all data handling processes adhere to federal regulations, including FISMA, OMB Circular A-123, and NIST standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and support system integration projects.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot data discrepancies and propose technical solutions to improve data infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS; experience with data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift) is a plus.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical data into clear, concise narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
